Parliamentary Committee Reviews Amendments to Central Bank Law

Mogadishu, (SONNA) — The Budget, Finance, Planning, International Cooperation and Government Institutions Accountability Committee of the House of the People held its eighth meeting of the eighth session at Villa Hargeisa.

The meeting, chaired by the Committee’s Deputy Chairperson, MP Mohamed Harun Abdullahi, reviewed the Bill amending Somalia’s Central Bank Law No. 130, issued on April 22, 2012.

Committee members discussed preparations for the Bill’s third reading, incorporating views and recommendations raised by lawmakers during the second reading before returning it to the House of the People for further constitutional consideration.
