SoDMA Commissioner Arrives in Baidoa to Strengthen Disaster Preparedness

Baidoa, (SONNA) — The Commissioner of the Somali Disaster Management Agency (SoDMA), H.E. Mahamuud Moallim Abdulle, and a delegation from the agency arrived in Baidoa, where they were welcomed by South West State ministers led by the Minister of Humanitarian Affairs and Disaster Management, along with other officials.

The visit focuses on strengthening preparedness and humanitarian response, particularly ahead of the anticipated impacts of Super El Niño, which could bring heavy rainfall and flooding.

H.E. Mahamuud Moallim thanked the South West State leadership for the warm welcome extended to him and his delegation.
