NISA Dismantles Al-Shabaab Networks, Arrests 11 Operatives in Mogadishu

Mogadishu, (SONNA) — The National Intelligence and Security Agency (NISA) has dismantled multiple Al-Shabaab terrorist networks that were secretly attempting to infiltrate parts of Mogadishu and surrounding areas.
During the operations, NISA forces arrested 11 operatives linked to the networks, which were being prepared to carry out activities threatening security.
The operations were conducted in Darussalam, Garasbaley, Kahda, Daynile and Afgoye following carefully planned security operations.
NISA forces also seized weapons and other materials that the operatives intended to use in carrying out their planned activities.
The operations form part of NISA’s ongoing efforts to prevent Al-Shabaab and other terrorist groups from carrying out plans aimed at undermining security and harming the Somali people.
