NIRA Director Opens National Identity and Public Services Coordination Workshop

Mogadishu, (SONNA) – The Director General of the National Identification and Registration Authority (NIRA), Mr. Abdiweli Ali Abdulle (Timacadde), today officially opened the National Identity and Public Services Coordination Committee Workshop, bringing together representatives from government institutions and private sector organizations that provide public services.

In his opening remarks, the Director General underscored the importance of integrating the National Identification system with public service delivery, noting that the implementation of a unified national identity system will enhance efficiency, accountability, and the quality of services provided to citizens.

He further emphasized that close cooperation between NIRA, government institutions, and the private sector is essential to establishing a unified, secure, and reliable National Identification system that serves all Somali citizens.
